I love the sheer sleeves of this Nasty Gal top. I loved it so much that I spent about a week stressing over whether I should buy it. I finally ordered it, and of course, the next day everything on the Nasty Gal website was 30% off! Don’t you hate when that happens? If my indecisiveness would have pulled through for one more day, I could have ordered my dream shirt at a hefty discount. Oh well, I’ve moved on.
Luckily the shirt arrived right before I left for Cleveland last weekend. Who knew there was a Nasty Gal warehouse down the road in Kentucky? Talk about dangerous and convenient. Of course, I had to pack this for Cleveland, since I’m one of those people who has to wear my new things as soon as possible. I told myself that I’d be able to brave the cold weather in order for a cute outfit, but I was so so wrong. I wore this outfit for a solid two hours until I got ahold of my boyfriend’s Patagonia. If you aren’t familiar with Patagonia jackets, they are the most comfortable and warm jackets ever created. I have a black one that I live in from November-March. Surprisingly, the oversized brown jacket, leather pants, and booties look actually didn’t look half bad (in my mind, at least). It was also a lot more forgiving than a half sheer crop top is after a long weekend of cocktails and brunching.
The takeaway: when visiting Cleveland in the fall and winter, choose warmth over crop tops.
