It was a holiday here in Cincinnati yesterday, and I took part in the festivities. Opening Day is almost as important as Christmas around here, and I’ve been celebrating it for as long as I can remember. The entire city is a sea of red, and it’s pretty much impossible to move around comfortably downtown. Basically, it’s awesome.
The best part? We won! It’s always a bit iffy on Opening Day, and I feel like the Reds haven’t had too many great Opening Day victories. I usually go to the game, but opted to barhop outside the stadium with my friends. It was an amazing day, and it made me so happy that baseball season is here. I’m a
huge baseball fan, so this is the greatest time of year for me. I’ve already started to add some new baseball-appropriate attire to my wardrobe in anticipation of upcoming games.
Today’s outfit mixes dressy and casual, for an easy spring outfit. I love any chance I get to wear this pleated Zara blouse, mainly because of the bell sleeves. I live for a detailed sleeve. Now that it’s warming up, I’m excited to start wearing more jewelry again. I feel like I kind of slacked in the jewelry department over the winter because I was so bundled up, and just over it. Jewelry was the last thing on my mind. My Tara Lea Smith choker necklace is the piece of jewelry I’ve been most excited to wear recently. It’s a statement piece, so you don’t need to overthink the rest of your outfit.
I also wanted to share an exciting project I’ve been working on with some other Cincinnati fashion bloggers. We recently launched Thread Cincinnati, a fashion-focused concept to unite our blogs and make it easy to find us all in one place. The fashion scene has really expanded in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas, and it’s nice to have a space to get inspiration and find other like-minded women with the same interests.
