Baby Blues

Blue Striped Francesca's Scarf

I can’t believe it’s already Friday. It seems like this week just flew by. Since spring and summer are my favorite seasons, it always feels like the time goes so quickly. Winter, on the other hand, is my idea of torture, and the days seem never ending. Other than making myself work out this weekend, I don’t have any plans and am pretty excited to do nothing. At 10:30 Tuesday night, I decided that I needed to make lemon cookies. Seriously, I was about to go to bed, but could not stop thinking about them. Ninety minutes later, I had eaten three cookies and was feeling pretty miserable and happy all at the same time. I would say my late night cookie fix on Tuesday was the highlight of my week, but on Wednesday my boyfriend and I planned a trip to New York City. We’re going in June, and I am counting down the days! I already have a Google Maps page up with directions from our hotel to places I plan on shopping at. If anyone has any good NYC recommendations, please let me know!

Even though it’s spring now, I still get pretty cold throughout the day. I like stocking up on warm clothes in summery colors. Cue these Gap legging jeans. It’s hard to tell here, but there like a muted baby blue shade. They’re super comfortable, and I’ve already gotten a ton of use out of them. I recently found this extremely old Francesca’s striped scarf in my endless container of scarves. Even though the blues are slightly different shades, I think it still works together. Forewarning: now that the weather is nice, the metallic oxfords are going to be making a lot more appearances!

Cute scarf!! I’ve bought two striped scarves recently because they’re perfect for this time of year. I’ve baked late at night before too. When the cravings hit, they’re hard to ignore! And I wish I had NYC suggestions for you but I don’t. If you were going to DC, though, I’d have plenty 🙂
