Colorful Floral Skirt with Black Top

Don’t you love when something you’ve kept in your closet for years is still on trend? Not that this Alfani skirt ever went out of style, but I admittedly went through a phase (all four years of college) where I didn’t like it. After many a closet purge, this skirt always stayed, despite being “on the bubble” every time. I got it my senior year of high school for a graduation mass, and I honestly don’t know why I hated on it for so long. Maybe because there aren’t too many occasions in college that call for knee length floral skirts (at least this was my experience). Now that I’m a big girl in the real world though, I’ve come to appreciate a full, billowy skirt! I wish I could emphasize how many times I almost gave this away. Like, there were multiple times when it was on my “give away” pile. I’m so thankful I listened to that little fashion voice in my head and kept it after all these years. This little floral number is perfect for work or a fancy event, which is exactly where I plan on wearing it.

Do you have any pieces in your closet that you’ve held onto forever?

Such a pretty skirt! I probably have one piece in my closet that I’ve held on to. I tend to be a “purger” and will get rid of things I’m not loving in a heartbeat. It usually works in my favor (less unnecessary things laying around) but every once in a while, I regret it. Glad you held on to this one!
