J.Crew Staples

Yellow Skirt and J.Crew Chambray Shirt

I think we can all say we have some classic J.Crew staples in our closets. As much as I try to spend my money at other stores, I always find myself coming back to J.Crew for those timeless pieces. What I love is that I always feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. Yeah, I might end up spending a good chunk of my paycheck, but  the amount of times I wear a piece easily surpasses the price. Plus, those J.Crew sales are pretty amazing! It goes without saying that my chambray is my most worn button down shirt. And this skirt? I have to remind myself not to wear it to work multiple times a week.

I also want to note that I’m wearing silver jewelry. For me, this is kind of a big deal. Yes, I’m a jewelry gal, but mostly in the gold department. I’ve always had a weakness for buying gold accessories, despite telling myself to buy more silver. Luckily, my intentions of venturing into the silver world are a lot easier thanks to my mom and grandma. This Tiffany cuff was my grandma’s, and she gave it to me before she passed away last summer. It was my favorite piece of hers, and it fits my abnormally small wrists perfectly! I have my mom to thank for these sassy silver hoops. I’ve been anti-hoop since high school (I don’t know why), and even got rid of all my hoops during a cleaning purge a few years back. Dramatic. My mom got me these Cate & Chloe ones for Christmas, and it’s only taken me half a year later to finally wear them. I have to admit, I’m starting to like them again. Thanks, mom!

I think it’s so sweet how you’re wearing your grandmother’s bracelet. Jewelry is so much more meaningful when it has a story. I’m a bit of a J.Crew fanatic as well, though most of my shopping happens at the outlet. We only have outlets nearby but I’m still hoping that someday an actual store will be put in locally 😉

I have a J Crew keeper chambray and it’s definitely a staple. That cuff is beautiful, and even more special since it was your grandmother’s. Have a fabulous day!

I love this shirt form J. Crew. You show so well how versatile it really is. From a staple work wear piece to a fun and flirty top with a little knot.
Only problem with it, after about 6 months of wear, I already have a few areas wear it is ripping.
I am torn about getting another one. Even though I will miss it from my staples.
Ladies, has your Keeper earned it’s keep ?
