How the weather has changed since two days ago! It’s now cold, rainy and the leaves are falling in masses. Basically, I want to lay by a fireplace with a blanket until April without any interruptions. Since that unfortunately isn’t an option, I just have to bundle up. I’m actually super excited about this anorak I’m wearing today because I found it on sale over the weekend. Long story short, during our Cincinnati fashion blogger get together last week, Preeti talked about some amazing pieces she scored at the Piperlime clearance center in Hebron, Kentucky. I knew about the Gap center, but hadn’t been in years, so I had forgotten it existed. It only makes sense that there would be a Piperlime area in the store since the site is owned by the Gap! I seriously can’t believe I had never heard people talk about the Piperlime section until now. I made it my mission to go last Saturday, and it was intense.
It’s a no-frills building, and it’s massive. I think the last time I went I was much younger, so I had no recollection of this place. Since it was a Saturday, it was pretty crowded, and I made the mistake of not getting a cart when I walked in. Once my fingers turned purple from holding 15 hangers, I decided it was time for a shopping cart. That made things much better. In keeping with the theme of me being a little late to the party that day, it took me over an hour to find the small section devoted to Piperlime. I really don’t have an explanation for this, as it was literally at the front of the store entrance, but I was happy once I found it. They had a pretty decent selection, but I had to examine each piece since many things are damaged there. I walked out feeling satisfied with my two purchases: a Tinley Road maroon faux leather skirt (because we know I can’t pass up anything faux leather), and this Hive & Honey military anorak jacket. It was a good day.

Cute outfit! Love this so much.
You scored a great piece! Love the tough color of this jacket, but the fit is so good. Super cute, doll!

Love this jacket! And Piperlime has in-store locations? I’m going to have to look into this! And you made me laugh about the 15 hangers part – that’s always me every time I shop. It’s embarrassing – sometimes people ask if I need help. I need to learn to just grab a cart even if I think it’ll be a quick shopping trip!
