Sharing another outfit from vacation last week (see more from our boat ride)! Vacation time can always feel so strange. There are days where it feels like you’ve been gone forever and then when the trip is over it feels like it all flew by so fast. When we flew back home I had that same back and forth. You wish you could stay in the sunny, tropical weather permanently. But then you’re also thinking about what you need to get done back in the real world. Now that I’ve been back a week though I am looking forward to our next trip, a long weekend in Toronto!
If I ever want to put together an outfit that requires minimal effort while still looking chic I almost always reach for black and white pieces.
For our recent Captiva Island trip I packed mostly colorful pieces. However, I still always like to have a few neutrals with me, even on a beach vacation. I purchased this Club Monaco top a couple months ago but haven’t had a chance to wear it until now. I wasn’t sure how it would fit when it came in the mail because it looked a bit small and cropped. While it is slightly cropped the fit is absolutely incredible!
Why I Love This Club Monaco Top
I have a large chest and tops are always a nightmare to find and successfully wear. I think the faux wrap design is one of the most flattering cuts if you’re large chested. This top miraculously made me feel totally contained and actually downplayed their size, which is always a feat.
I think wrap tops or faux wrap tops in general are always flattering on your chest, so this is a reminder that I need to add more to my closet! While this top is a bit cropped, I find I like pairing crop tops with higher waisted shorts or skirts. Also, the sleeves puff out a bit, adding a unique detailing I love!
