The @lytleparkhotel has transformed into a winter The @lytleparkhotel has transformed into a winter wonderland! It’s the perfect place to get in the holiday spirit and yes, they even make it snow on the rooftop igloos. Speaking of igloos, they can fit 10 people and you can rent them out to sip on festive cocktails while overlooking the city from your toasty seat! I know where I’ll be spending the next month…

I haven't posted in a long time and wanted to shar I haven't posted in a long time and wanted to share some updates about my health in case it can be helpful to someone else.

A few years ago I started having symptoms such as weight gain, constant bloating, inflammation, hair loss, insomnia, & many other things. I felt off and like I had no control over my body. I was going from doctor to doctor & getting every test imaginable, including tons of bloodwork. I think they thought I was crazy. In early 2021, I thought I had solved the mystery when I had my second endometriosis surgery. I traveled to a renowned surgeon after being gaslit by my local doctor and surgery confirmed I had stage 4 endometriosis for the second time. Surgery was a success and I was so excited to get back to normal.

Unfortunately, most of my symptoms hadn't gone away months later. I was eating healthy & exercising and nothing would change. I didn't feel like myself mentally or physically. I saw a GI doctor and tested positive for SIBO. I was excited and thought this was finally my answer. My wedding was weeks away and I had to get my dress taken out to accommodate my changing body. The medicine did literally nothing for me. I then went to a SIBO-focused dietician to kill the SIBO with herbs and supplements. She was great and helped me a ton, but the strong herbs didn't work. Because I wasn't responding to treatment, she said something external was likely keeping me sick.

She recommended a functional endocrinologist because my hormones were in bad shape. At the first appointment this summer I knew I was in good hands because she listened to all my issues & symptoms. I mentioned mold & other toxins to her after doing extensive research about why I was so sick. She ordered tons of tests & sure enough, I tested positive for high mycotoxins (from mold exposure) in my body! It was the biggest breakthrough to date. I also recently learned I have candida and actual mold growing in my body.

I'm working to treat everything now, but it's an uphill battle. I'm hopeful about getting past this and have learned it's so important to advocate for your health. This work is worth it to feel good again!
