Back in December, Joe and I had the incredible opportunity to stay at The Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis. Joe was born and raised in St. Louis, so we try to go back once or twice a year to visit!
I had never been to the hotel previously and loved reading about the rich history of the property, dating back to 1922. Located in the Central West End, The Chase Park Plaza is conveniently located to tons of great St. Louis attractions and is steps from the famed Forest Park.

The hotel offers three on-site restaurants, a famous movie theater, a rooftop bee sanctuary, a massive 18,000 square foot fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool. Clearly, you don’t even need to leave to enjoy a plethora of amenities!
We stayed in a gorgeous, newly-renovated suite overlooking the park. Speaking of newly-renovated, the rooms have undergone recent updates and the lobby transports you to a luxurious tranquil setting the second you step inside. Because we visited in December, the hotel was a winter wonderland, filled with decorated Christmas trees everywhere you looked! There was also a beautiful gingerbread display of downtown St. Louis that included the famed Arch! This is a great spot to bring your family, especially during the holidays.

For breakfast, we dined at The Preston, a chic restaurant that feels like you’re transporting into an era of elegance the second you set foot in the door. The restaurant was bustling with people and had a nice energy to it. Next time we’re back I definitely want to visit The Preston for dinner. The menu was extensive and the cocktail list looked extremely tempting!

Location-wise, the hotel was perfect. We were able to do all sorts of walking around the Central West End, and Joe even braved the cold and went for a long run around Forest Park. I’m a huge fan of Pi Pizzeria, and unfortunately, we no longer have a location in Cincinnati. When I remembered that they have a location near The Chase Park Plaza, I immediately placed a carry-out order and took a nice stroll to pick up my pizza! I’ve only driven through the neighborhood at night so it was the perfect opportunity to see all the different businesses and stunning houses that line the streets.

Joe and I had an amazing weekend getaway at The Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, and it served as a relaxing retreat during our busy trip. Every time I mentioned where we were staying people immediately started telling their own personal stories of time spent at the hotel. It really shows what a rich history the hotel has and that it’s earned its place as a St. Louis landmark.
Next time you’re traveling through St. Louis, I highly recommend staying at The Chase Park Plaza. You’ll be glad you did!
