Ever since I’ve lived in my condo (and now a NYC apartment), I’ve loved decorating my bar cart. When we moved last year, instead of hauling our bar cart to NYC, we gave it to my dad and brother to use at their office. We searched high and low for a new one and opted for a round bar cart to take up minimal square footage. Unfortunately, the bar cart we bought is no longer available, but I shared a roundup below of some circular options I love!
While our bar cart in NYC is fully stocked, I haven’t done any seasonal decorating to jazz it up. It’s been a busy month. I came across these pictures of our old decorated fall bar cart in Cincinnati, and I realized I never shared them.
My mom got me the bar cart pictured here for Christmas many years ago, and it has accompanied me everywhere I’ve lived, up until my move to NYC last year.
Over the years, I’ve created cocktail videos and used this bar cart as my little workspace. In a move I’m sure MacGyver would appreciate, I would dangerously stack this bar cart on bed risers each time I filmed a video. It instantly made the bar cart a foot taller and look better in frame. Making sure each bar cart wheel was perfectly stacked on the narrow bed risers was a stressful endeavor. I used the bed risers in college when under-the-bed storage was prized real estate, and hung onto them for reasons unbeknownst to me. If there is one skill this blog has forced me to be, it’s resourceful!
Seeing these pictures makes me miss how bright and spacious our condo in Cincinnati was! While I don’t have a picture to share of our current bar cart situation, these throwbacks are giving me inspiration. Maybe I can get my act in order and decorate our new bar cart for the holidays!
Bar carts are great, especially if you live in a smaller space. If you don’t have the time or space to go all out decorating your living space for the seasons, focus on your bar cart!

Fall Bar Cart
- Pumpkins and gourds make fall bar cart decorating a breeze! A mix of sizes and shapes adds a nice visual and pop of color.
- Sunflowers are such a cheerful complement to the pumpkins and I love that it gives some height to the bar cart.
- Who knew bottles of alcohol could also give off fall vibes? A bottle of Veuve with its bright orange branding and a bottle of Woodford Reserve’s perfect brown hue are essentials for the fall bar cart decor.
- I added some small books in fall shades to add a little more height. I think your eye is more drawn to a bar cart when you have a range of heights.
- I think glassware on a bar cart looks super chic. These elegant champagne flutes and a stylish decanter are fun options.

The best stuff! loving the bar cart idea. Totally cool and practical for small living spaces..
