In the winter, I tend to wear more pants than dresses and skirts simply because I dread being cold. I have a lot of cute wintry skirts and dresses, but in a pinch, I usually opt for pants and never end up wearing some of my more ladylike non-pant pieces.

I probably say this every winter but this year especially has felt extra cold and gloomy. I’ve been trying to incorporate as much color as possible into my wardrobe this season, and my motto has been the bolder the better.
I’ve always loved colorful tights and when I came across these pretty pink tights on the ASOS website, I immediately added them to my cart! I really didn’t know how I was going to style these pink tights, but I knew I needed them in my life. This was way back in September, and up until now they sat dormant in my dresser.

How To Wear Pink Tights
I struggled to figure out exactly what would look best with them and what pieces in my closet would complement the bold pink hue. When I recently realized that winter is (thankfully) coming to an end (at least we can hope) I knew I didn’t want to let these sit around until the next season of cold weather.
I pulled out a ton of different pieces from my closet and laid them on my bed, figuring out what colors would look best. Ultimately, this brown corduroy skirt was the perfect complement for this statement-making piece.
Brown is one of my favorite color pairings with pink, and I also love wearing red with pink shades as well. Orange and purple are also options if you want something even more bold!

I loved the idea of wearing something pinkish on top and the fact that I recently bought this Kate Spade floral sweater top could not have been better timing.
In terms of shoes, I have always admired the look of tights or socks with open-toed shoes, but feel like I’m pretty lacking on appropriate shoes in my own closet. After a lot of trial and error I settled on this simple yet shiny pair of metallic ankle strap sandals. I think it pulls the look together nicely!
