I’m excited to be partnering with Liberty Center to highlight all the amazing stores, restaurants and entertainment options they have to offer!
Each month I’ll be completing different “challenges” to showcase all the great things to see and do at Liberty Center, and this month we’re talking all about fitness!
It couldn’t be a more appropriate time to focus on fitness now that we’re well into spring and looking toward summer. Before you know it it’s going to be swimsuit season, and I know I don’t want it to sneak up on me like it seems to every other year.
When it comes to working out, it’s hard for me to stick to a set routine due to my busy work schedule and not ever knowing when I’m going to have an appointment pop up at the last minute. When that happens, I always have a pep talk with myself saying that I must work out when I get home from work, no matter how tired I am. Well, that rarely ends up holding true. There are a few times where I’ll muster up enough energy to get up and get active, but more times than none I throw in the towel.
I’ve been racking my brain for clever ideas to help ignite my energy to follow through with my workouts. That’s when it hit me that I should mix in my love for fashion to make this a little more fun. I have a fair amount of workout clothes but always went the more practical and simple route when buying pieces.
It was my first time visiting the store, and it surpassed any other Dick’s that I’ve ever shopped at. It was beautiful and I could have easily spent hours just browsing around the store. The Liberty Center location is actually on two levels, so you can imagine how much they have to offer.
After moseying around on the top level for quite some time, I headed downstairs to check out the women’s activewear and get down to business. I’m no fitness buff, but I wanted anything and everything in sight! It’s amazing how athletic brands have really honed in on the style side of athletic wear.
Nike had an incredible selection, and I found myself trying on tons of pieces from the brand. I was instantly drawn to these colorfully printed and mesh leggings. I’ve been wanting to inject some color into my workout clothes, and this print was too good to pass up! They’re part of Nike’s Hypercool line, meaning that they’ll keep you cool while working out (exactly what I need now that it’s getting hot out).
Next up it was time to look for a top. I loved this Nike Dri Fit option because it has a bit of a loose fit and the black and white can be paired with everything. Plus, I really liked the “Just” and “Do It’ text on the front and back of the top. It’s fun, but not too crazy.
I bought these pieces a few weeks ago, and have already worn them multiple times, so I think my theory about mixing style with working out has proven to be successful! I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Liberty Center to pick up my fashionable workout gear!
