Last week, I was lucky enough to attend the sneak peak of the Horseshoe Casino that opened last night in Cincinnati. My dad was out of town, so my mom and I went down to be part of the action. We got there 30 minutes before the doors opened, and there was already a line outside. It took us an hour to get inside and start gambling. They were only letting people use one elevator because the lobby was so clogged with people! Once we finally got to the lobby to check in, there were hundreds of people shoved together waiting in line. Being stuck in a windowless space with tons of people for a half hour caused some major anxiety. I distracted myself by looking through my iPhone the whole time.
Once on the gaming floor, it was amazing. I’m not a big fan of card games (because I don’t understand them), so I immediately headed for the slots! Long story short, I didn’t win any money that day. Like most people, I’ll be doing really well and then get cocky and say “just one more spin”, and quickly one spin turns to many spins, and my money is gone before I know it. Luckily, my bad mood was gone the second I went to Bobby Flay’s restaurant in the casino called Bobby’s Burger Palace. I don’t eat meat, but they had an amazing grilled cheese sandwich which was accompanied by a side of fries. My only disappointment was that Bobby Flay himself wasn’t there to serve me my food. My mom and I love Bobby Flay! Anytime he’s on the Food Network I have to watch. I love his personality, and his great cooking skills pretty much make him the perfect man 🙂
I’m excited to go back to the casino now that it’s open to the public, although I may wait awhile since it’ll probably be insanely crowded the next month! Maybe you can relate, but every time I’m at the slot machines I’m secretly thinking of hitting the jackpot so I can go on a major shopping spree.

A chic kiss 😉
Thanks Amanda!
Emerald is definitely your color. I always turn to my iPhone too when crowds are giving me anxiety too lol.
Thanks! A man behind us kept joking about a fire starting (not funny), which made things so much more stressful! Thank god for iPhones!
That would have made me think of the plane scene from Bridesmaids… I probably would have freaked haha.
Haha it was just like that! Worst hour of my life!
Hey girl! First of all I am loving your outfit in this post, green is your color 🙂 Also I didn’t realize that you lived in Cincinnati because I live here too! Lol random I know but it’s nice to know that a fellow fashion blogger lives in the nasty nati too. Anyways, have a good rest of the day!
xoxo Hayley
Thank you! I’m glad you said something, because I’ve barely met any other Cincinnatians! You’re the only other fashion blogger from here I’ve met so far, so that’s really exciting! I just saw on your blog that you work at Michael Kors. Are you at the Kenwood location?
Yes I work part time at the Michael Kors lifestyle store at Kenwood mall.
I don’t know any other fashion bloggers from Cincy but just happened to see your post about going to the Horseshoe casino. How was it?
What part of Cincy are you from?
I’ll have to stop in sometime when I’m shopping out there! Horseshoe was amazing! It’s huge and has amazing restaurants. I’m from the westside and went to SUA!
That’s awesome! When does the casino actually open? And yes, please stop in sometime; like i said I only work a few days a week, so hopefully i’d be working.
I’m from the east side lol i know east side vs west side haha and I went to Indian Hill High School but one of my friends went to SUA and would have graduated in ’08.
So are you a full time blogger or do you work in the fashion industry too?
It opened yesterday! Yeah I’ll definitely stop in when I’m out there. Right now I’m focusing on my blog full time while I look for a job. I’d love to work in the fashion industry down the road though! Keep in touch!
Thanks for checking out , I am just getting started and love to see people are checking it out! Love your leather look trousers – so chic!
Thank you!
LOVE those pants! So stylish!

Thank you! They’re pretty comfortable, too!
Thanks for liking my post. Your blog has inspired me to go digging into my jewelry box. I always seem to forget to put jewelry on but am happy when I do.
Thank you! I’m glad I could inspire you. Rediscovering your old jewelry is the best!
love your blouse and your combination.
Thank you!
LOVE your top! I keep seeing Zara everywhere in Fashion Blogs overseas. So jealous! Can’t wait til that store makes its way to where I am in Australia… !
Thank you! Unfortunately, I got this while I was out of town because we don’t have a store here (yet)! Even though I looove online browsing, I prefer actually trying my clothes on before I make a purchase! Hopefully you get a Zara store there soon!
