I’m sure everyone has had one of those weeks where nothing seems to go right, and stressful situations happen over and over again like a domino effect. Well, this has been one of those weeks for me. Lots of stress and no sleep seems to be the norm these days. I am a firm believer in retail therapy, and truly feel that it can help you overcome a bad day. It’s no surprise that I am constantly browsing my favorite stores online, especially on days where I need to do something that doesn’t require much thought. Although fashion is usually my main focus when online browsing/shopping, I found myself looking at home decor the other day to alleviate some stress. I came across this gorgeous mirror from Pier 1, and I was hooked. When I saw that it came with a $25 price tag, I knew I had to have to it.
I went to my local Pier 1 yesterday, and the second I walked in the door I felt so much better. I hadn’t been into Pier 1 in a couple of years, and had forgotten how amazing everything is there! It’s like sensory overload, but in a good way. All the bright colors and fun patterns made me forget about the stress and anxiety I had been feeling. Even if it is temporary, sometimes shopping can be a great escape from life’s daily stressors. I got the mirror, and it is currently sitting on the nightstand next to my bad as I type this. Below are some other fun home accessories that brightened my day!

Pier 1 is such a great store. I always come home with way too many coffee mugs from there. That mirror is adorable too! Hopefully things get easier for you, those weeks are never fun:(
When I was there I literally wanted to buy everything. It’s dangerous! Luckily, the week has gotten better. The beginning of the week is never fun!
Yes it feels like I have one of those days at least once a week haha and I am loving the items, doing some shopping helps with those days!

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one! I think shopping helps take your mind off of it!
I hope your week has gotten better! That mirror is so cheerful – I’m glad to hear it lifted your mood 🙂
Thank you! It was the perfect purchase to get me out of my slump!
That throw is super pretty! So sorry you’ve had a rough week and glad to see that it has gotten a bit better. I love distractions during tough weeks 🙂
Thank you! Usually by Wednesday, I’m a lot less stressed!
I love Pier 1, it’s always so fun to go in and see all the pretty things they have! You’re right though, it’s usually sensory overload because they simply have so much stuff! You could spend hours in there and still not see everything! I love love love those chevron tumblers from C.Wonder, I’ve had my eye on them!

It’s so exciting when you first walk in, and then (if you’re like me) you realize you don’t have nearly enough money to get everything you want!
I have this Pier 1 mirror! I’m OBSESSED! I loove the color of that throw pillow too. I might have to go grab one for myself!
