Last week I had the pleasure of attending Cincy Chic‘s Eco Chic Fashion Show at the Art Design Consultants space in downtown Cincinnati. Not only did I fall in love with the environmentally friendly fashions made by the incredibly talented students at DAAP, but the space was what colorful dreams are made of.
This dress, made completely out of painted plastic bottles, was created by Anna Pompilio (pictured below). I love a fun one shoulder dress, and the volume these plastic bottles added was a great feminine touch.
Can you believe that this little blue number is made out of lawn chairs? Cobalt is one of my favorite colors, and I loved how it looked paired with black and white. These statement sleeves gave off an awesome futuristic vibe.
One of the attendees made this fun pleated skirt entirely out of magazine pages! Some people are just so creative, and I wish I had an ounce of their creativity.
This dress was made with orange plastic fencing, and I loved the detailing of the top. There’s a frayed effect along the waistline and shoulders, which gave it a great texture.
This was one of my favorite pieces of art in the space. It’s named “Party Girl”, which is appropriate given the fun, bold colors.
The lighting was a bit tricky in the space, but we snapped a shot of all the Cincinnati fashion bloggers who took part in the festivities.

Looks ace, can’t beat a bit up up cycling chic!

This fashion show looks like it would be a ton of fun! So much creativity too! The colors of the lawn chair dress are so bright and that magazine skirt looks like it took hours to put together.
such a fun night!
