I didn’t post anything yesterday because my boyfriend was in town all weekend, and I wanted to get as much time in with him as possible. I’m getting spoiled with him working nearby so much lately, that we’ve gotten to see each other almost every weekend since mid April. This was after a cycle of him never working anywhere near Cincinnati for, like, the first two years of his career. Hopefully this current pattern continues.
We did a ton over the weekend, so I won’t bore you with the details. I do want to mention that the highlight was definitely walking right by Emilio Estevez on Vine Street in Over-The-Rhine. Yes, the Emilio Estevez of The Breakfast Club and The Mighty Ducks fame. You don’t see too many celebrities in Cincinnati (although I did walk right by Vanessa Minnillo last summer on the very same sidewalk), so you tend to get a little excited when you spot one in the flesh. We both smiled like little schoolgirls when he walked by, but played it cool, because you never want to be “those people”.
This outfit was from a few weekends ago during a Saturday spent downtown. For me, this is the ultimate summer outfit. It’s comfortable, colorful and can easily transition from day to night. I wanted to mix dressy and casual, so I spiced it up with these French Connection heels, and kept it cool with a straw fedora. I feel like this gives off a little bit of a preppy vibe too, which is never a bad thing in my book!
I kind of forgot I had this fedora until recently. I bought it at a boutique in Captiva last summer, and it will definitely be getting some action on my trip to Siesta Key in a few weeks!
