While I’m not one of those people who already has their entire home decorated the day after Halloween, I do always look forward to festive holiday decor. It seems like people are starting to decorate earlier and earlier, which makes me feel sad for Thanksgiving. I mean, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and it might not have the glitz and glam of December holidays, but it still deserves its moment.
I might start slowly putting holiday decor up this year while still respecting my love for turkey day. You know I love all things colorful, and my Christmas decor tends to reflect that. Luckily, there is no shortage of options for those looking to go beyond the green and red aesthetic. I’ve rounded up my favorite colorful holiday decor in case you want to inject a little boldness into your space!
We haven’t really entertained during the holidays since before the pandemic, but I’m thinking that might change this year. I feel ready to celebrate and put on a festive frock. Since we live in a condo, it’s always felt a lot more manageable to decorate for the holidays, which I like. I know when we eventually trade out condo life for a house I will go town decorating, but in the meantime, I like our holiday setup here.
I will say the one thing I do miss is not having a mantle. Those always seem to be a good piece to make a statement with holiday decorating. You have your garland, stockings, stocking holders. Okay I need to stop fantasizing before I get too sad about my lack of mantle.
