In keeping with the theme of holiday inspiration, I wanted to share some incredible tablescape ideas for any hosting you may do this season. On Christmas and Christmas Eve we’ve always done a sit-down dinner, and it’s one of my favorite traditions. There’s something so magical about seeing a table all dressed up and ready to entertain. I love getting decked out in sequins all of December, so a fancy tablescape really enhances the celebratory mood.
Since I was little, my parents have always hosted Christmas Eve at our house (technically, I don’t live there anymore, but it will forever be “our” house). It’s always felt a bit fancier but still very laid back and approachable. It’s more of a party atmosphere on Christmas Eve. My mom has always used this gorgeous metallic gold tablecloth in the dining room and I love how timeless it is.
A few years ago, we decided we need to zhuzh up our tablescape and find something to better complement the beautiful tablecloth. We got a dark red table runner, glittery gold garland, red disco ball ornaments, three gold Christmas tabletop trees, and some gemstones to scatter around the runner. We finished the display off with some of my mom’s old gold candlesticks paired with gold taper candles.
I’ve had parties at my condo, but have yet to hold an actual dinner party. I’m always on the hunt for holiday tablescape ideas because I’ve dreamed of having a formal sit-down dinner with a beautiful table as the centerpiece. I am loving these napkin rings and tartan plates.
I shared some of my favorite holiday decor pieces here, so check that out if you’re looking to stay in a festive mood!
