Hello everyone! Welcome to Baubles to Bubbles. It’s taken me a few months, but I have FINALLY started my blog! It’s been seven months since I graduated from the University of Dayton with a communications and marketing degree, and I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I thought that once I got my diploma, everything else would just fall into place. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Seven months later, and I am STILL trying to find where my career path will start. The more I thought about it, the more I felt I should start a blog. I studied communications and marketing after all, so how hard could it be to start a blog?
In case you’re wondering, it has been a lot more difficult than I could have ever imagined. HTML, widgets, coding… My head has been spinning! After using a computer my entire life, I thought I was pretty savvy, but starting a blog has opened my eyes to a whole new side of technology. It’s taken me so long to start this blog because I have had numerous panic attacks trying to understand how to create a cute, attractive website. Today though, I decided to say “screw it” and take the plunge into the blogosphere.
I came up with the name “Baubles to Bubbles” because I have a slight obsession with jewelry and all things fashion. The “Bubbles” refers to champagne bubbles, which I am also slightly obsessed with. I believe a good glass of champagne can solve just about any problem and make your day a little brighter ;). I’m not sure what the future holds, but I sure am excited for the ride!
Thanks for popping by my blog! I love reading that your head is spinning over “HTML, widgets and coding”. I too was overwhelmed by all of this and almost didn’t start my blog because I didn’t know what I was doing (still don’t). But I figured I’ll learn as I go! I still feel I am just operating a basic blog..and hope to one day make it a little “prettier” and more tech savvy, but for now, I get my point across and that’s all that matters!
I still don’t really understand it all, but I have learned so much since I first started my blog! I was the same way, and thought I would never understand anything, but the more time you spend doing it, the more you’ll learn! For me, getting started was the hardest part, but it’s gotten a lot easier! Good luck!
