Easter is one of my favorite holidays and I can’ Easter is one of my favorite holidays and I can’t believe it’s this weekend! Between the bright colors and the weather warming up this is my favorite time of year. This is the setup I put together last year when it was just me and Joe and I love how it turned out!
Two years ago today @joseph_cady and I got engaged Two years ago today @joseph_cady and I got engaged! A lot has happened since then, including a pandemic and postponed 2020 wedding, but after dating for 11 years, waiting another year wasn’t so bad! Plus, we got to spend every waking moment together the past year without going crazy, which is the perfect test for marriage, right?!

The night we got engaged I was EXHAUSTED from working all day and remember being so tired that I had glasses on and put on the warmest but easily most unstylish outfit I have ever worn in my life. Truly, it was horrible. We had a 10 pm reservation at @sottocincy, so at the last minute I mustered up the energy to take off the glasses and upgrade my outfit to a slightly more acceptable black turtleneck and blue coat. Very grateful for outfit changes and getting to marry this amazing guy in June!

This past year has been a constant struggle of trying to get doctors to take me seriously, countless scans, blood tests, physical therapy, and more to figure out what was causing me excruciating pain and inflammation. Things got progressively worse in recent months to the point that I couldn't sleep at night or function during the day. I never thought my endo would have grown back so quickly, but in December I had a lightbulb moment when I realized that's exactly what it was.

I immediately began researching the best endo doctors because my previous ones weren't cutting it. That's when I found out about Dr. Mini in Columbus. I drove to Columbus to meet with her in January and our interaction was night and day from what I was used to experiencing. She listened to me and immediately said we should do surgery. I had surgery just two weeks later. When you have endo you become used to doctors not taking you seriously, and you worry they won't find anything during surgery. It's extremely hard to detect with imaging, so you could look perfectly fine while endo is sneakily wreaking havoc on your insides.

The surgery went extremely well and I am so grateful that I was able to see a specialist this time. Unsurprisingly, my insides were covered in endo. I had organs fused together, and a bunch of other crazy things. I felt so validated after not being heard for so long! This entire ordeal has taught me to trust what your body is telling you, and to keep pushing forward to get answers. I'm so excited to start healing and to get my life back!

If you're looking for an amazing and compassionate endo specialist I cannot recommend Dr. Mini enough! *please don’t stare too long at this unfortunate picture of me after surgery*

I guess it’s better than the last time I actually did set it off making pita bread? Either way, I’m sure our condo neighbors enjoy sharing walls with us!

I don't even need my wallet because my credit card is conveniently stored in the Kroger app, so all I have to do is swipe my phone and it's taken care of! I love how easy it is and that it's completely contactless, especially since we're all trying to keep our distance right now. #krogerpay

individuality the brand evokes. I've been wearing this scent daily, and it adds an instant joy to my day. The best part? The fragrance is now available at @ultabeauty!

Let’s be honest though, sweatpants are also a strong outfit contender to commemorate the end of 2020. Whether it’s sequins or sweats, I’m excited to ring in a new year with a glass (or bottle) of champagne! Yes, this photo was taken moments after my champagne tower came tumbling down and shattered a bunch of glasses, but when the lightning is good the show must go on!
