Sweater Dress

Black and White Sweater Dress

You can’t tell from these pictures, but it snowed yesterday. It was only about an inch, but I opened my window to see a white yard instead of the usual green one. In other words, it was painfully cold when I braved the temperatures to take these pictures. It’s going to be a very long winter.

Although I love dresses, I don’t have too many that are suitable for these frigid temperatures. Tights just don’t seem to cut it as an acceptable barrier to the cold. My legs were still cold, but this bell-sleeved sweater kept the rest of my body nice and warm! This is the first time I’ve worn this comfortable dress, but it holds a special place in my heart. It belonged to my grandma who passed away over the summer. She was  very petite at 4’8, but she always had the cutest, most classic outfits. I was shocked when I tried this on and it fit like a glove! I’m 5’4, so you can imagine my surprise. My mom, grandma, and I always went shopping together, so little things like this are an amazing way to keep her close to me.

I’m sorry to hear about your grandma. It’s nice that you have this special piece from her, though – something to remember her by 🙂 She definitely picked a classic (yet trendy) dress and so cool that you can wear it!

Wow, your grandma was a stylish one. I wouldn’t be able to wear anything my grandmothers wore – they LOVED polyester and elastic!

I have to ask: I am always on the hunt for a great pair of tights. Would you recommend the pair that you are wearing? If so, where can I find them? Thanks in advance!

I’m always on the hunt, too! I’m looking for a polka dot pair at the moment that doesn’t look cheap. I believe mine are Hue brand! I feel like Hue tights are always well made and durable, especially the opaque ones I’m wearing!
