Army Pants

Colorful Necklace with J.Crew Silk Cotton Tee

I guess I can’t technically call these pants “army pants” since they aren’t army print, but I’ve been having a bit of writer’s block lately when it comes to post titles. When I was trying to name today’s post, my imagine started to run wild, and before I knew it I was quoting Mean Girls in my head and laughing out loud (luckily I was alone). That’s when I determined that my favorite line of that movie was said by a member of the “desperate wannabes”: “I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants and flip flops, so I bought army pants and flip flops”. Hence, that is how I came to today’s post title. Let’s face it ladies, we all know every word to that movie, so it’s kind of hard not to incorporate the memorable quotes into everyday life.

Today’s outfit is lightweight and simple. I got both these pieces on sale at J.Crew a few months ago. Don’t you feel like you either find a ton of cute stuff or absolutely nothing in the sale section at J.Crew? That’s always been my experience. Anyway, to offset these utility pants, I paired it with this breezy white tee. You can’t tell in the pictures, but the front is cotton, and the back is silky! It’s like a dressy t-shirt. Genius. I’m probably the most excited about these French Connection shoes I got in New York. I tried them on for fun at the store (it was the only pair they had), and they fit like a glove. I took that as a sign that I was supposed to buy them. Hope everyone is staying cool!

Army pants and flip flops! Love the color though, for real. I’m one of those people who has a chronic fear of camo print, so those pants are especially appealing to me!

My army green pants are one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. I especially love to pair them with a red and white striped top and white Converse sneakers. Love how you styled yours, too!

Love this! Those pants are amazing and your sandals are perfect! I have a hard time with titles too and I’m always scared of using the same one twice.
p.s. I love your Captiva pictures!!
