Week In Review

What a crazy week it’s been! I feel like I’m running on fumes, and am so happy I got to sleep in a little this morning. It’s kind of sad, but I think I’ve only gone out a handful of times this summer. By the time the week ends, all I look forward to doing is laying in my bed watching tv while browsing the web on my laptop. Lame, but it’s how I unwind. A lot of times, there are champagne splits involved, but last night I kept my relaxation bubbly free. Since I didn’t have the time to post too much this week, I thought I’d do something a little different and post on a Saturday. Breaking all the rules ;)! I’ve been wanting to start doing a “Week In Review” post to highlight random things from throughout the week and to show what I’ve been loving. I don’t really have a set formula for how I’m going to do this, but I thought it would be a fun post to do.

1. I came across the clothing brand Paint the Town, and I cannot stop thinking about the amazing dresses! Mel Bradshaw started the label at 21. The prints are fun and memorable, and the silhouette’s are incredibly flattering and feminine! What’s not to love? I’m convinced the polka dot dress needs to be in my closet.

2. Grace’s homemade French-style baguettes. If you haven’t been to Grace’s blog, you need to! It’s the perfect mix of fashion and food, and she’s a master at both! Every time she posts a recipe, I sit at my desk drooling. This particular recipe made me excited because I have to avoid a lot of bread when I go out to eat (and I eat out a lot). Unfortunately, a lot of restaurant bread comes from bakeries, and a lot of bakeries make breads with nuts. I take my nut allergy very seriously, which means I have to skip the bread.  Grace’s recipe is nut free, and I love that her steps are so easy to follow! I cannot wait to make it!

3. Sloane Boutique is having their Deep Sale, which is their biggest sale of the year! I love that they have one-of-a-kind pieces that you know you won’t see tons of other people wearing. I splurged on this yellow To Be Adored top a few weeks ago, and it is strategically hanging in my closet where I can gaze at it. It’s all my favorite things together in one top: bell sleeves, ruffles, and yellow!

4. These Blackberry Mojitos look and sound so refreshing! The ingredients are all fresh, and are things you could easily pick up at the store this time of year. I’m imagining myself sitting in my (imaginary) pool, drinking one of these colorful cocktails.
