Bright Blazer + Bakersfield Bites

Gianni Bini White Dress with Yellow Blazer

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting up with fellow Cincinnati blogger Natalie of CincinNatalie. First of all, how cute is her blog name? We had been trying to get together for about a month, and finally were able to meet at Bakersfield, a fun and popular Bakersfield-themed restaurant bar in OTR. Side note: you can get beer served in a boot-shaped bottle. You can’t get more fun than that! I stuck to my traditional beverage of choice: Dos Equis. It’s my favorite beer, and no, not because of the commercials. I’ve been a Dos Equis lover long before the Most Interesting Man in the World came along, although he’s made the drink even more enjoyable than it already was. A few beers in, it’s easy to feel like the Most Interesting Woman in the World ;).

It was great meeting up with Natalie, and just connecting with someone who lives in my city and does the same thing as me. It was also pretty nice walking to Washington Park after to take some pictures. My schedule is really busy, so I don’t get to take pictures at all the places I’d like to. This was a nice little change, and the fountains made the perfect backdrop! I had come from work, which meant my outfit consisted of a figure-hugging white dress and yellow blazer.

It’s such a great feeling to talk to someone (in person) who blogs. We live/work in such a little bubble. I find myself unloading on my blogger friends whenever we meet up! And what fun to see some photos of Cinti! I researched there for a few weeks in grad school – geez about six years ago!

I agree! I feel like until I actually met my blogger friends in person, I was almost living a double life. It’s hard to talk about something that other people can’t relate to! That’s awesome you spent some time here. It’s a shame we weren’t blogging back then and could have met each other!
