Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like I get to a point every winter where I’m cramming in all my favorite winter pieces that I didn’t get to wear much during those freezing cold days. It’s like painfully cold for at least two months, and nobody (at least me) has looking flawless at the top of their priority list. Cue a few days before spring officially starts, and I’m realizing I didn’t wear most of the outfits I had wanted to share on my blog this winter. Exhibit A: this Ann Taylor bow blouse.
I bought this blouse way back in November, with intentions of wearing it often on here. Many outfits have been planned in my head revolving around this top, because I can never say no to bows. I’m finally styling it for my blog, and today’s outfit shows a subtle sign that spring is near: shorts! Mixing edgy with feminine is something I’ve always liked to do, and I love how these pieces complement each other.
On a side note, I did absolutely nothing fun for St. Patrick’s Day. I had an extra stressful day at work, forgot to wear any green and my favorite Kate Spade polkadot tights ripped from my thigh to my ankle. At first I felt like I was missing out by not celebrating, but once I got home from work and plopped myself on the couch, I was very happy with my decision. Sometimes the best way to celebrate a holiday is to not do anything at all.
