If I had to sum up my weekend in one word, it would be this: food. Lots and lots of food. And good food I might add. The weekend kicked off with dinner at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse downtown to celebrate my brother’s birthday. I don’t eat meat, but never have a problem filling up on sides. Their mashed potatoes are divine! The good food weekend continued the next morning when my dad made a huge breakfast, which included this awesome fruit plate. He really could be a chef. Rounding out the weekend of good eats was Sunday night tacos. My mom and I slaved in the kitchen for hours making salsa, guacamole and tacos. I think I could eat Mexican food every day and never get sick of it. Plus, you don’t feel as guilty afterward since it’s mostly veggies. Win win!
Now that spring is here, I’m injecting some much-needed color into my wardrobe. Today’s theme is obviously pink, and I’m super excited about the new addition to my shoe collection. These Dee Keller pink heels instantly caught my eye on the Piperlime site, and I ordered them immediately. When they finally came in the mail, I was disappointed when the fit wasn’t so great. I put them back in the box, and had planned on mailing them back the next day. Because I have serious attachment issues (and was seriously in love with these shoes), I decided to say goodbye to the shoes by slipping them on my feet one last time. Miraculously, they fit this time. It was crazy, but I was loving whatever magic was making this happen. I tried them on a few more times, and they continued to fit, which meant they were staying in my possession!
I apologize in advance, but these pink puppies are going to be making many appearances on here now that it’s warming up!

A great outfit; love the pink jacket and those pink heels! Love the shape of the heels and the over all style. 😉
I’m so glad you kept them! I think they are awesome and I know I would be wearing them everywhere!
Love these pumps on you! I can totally relate to begging shoes to fit you, glad you had some luck! I usually convince myself that they fit and then end up in serious pain later hahah
