Orange You Glad

Flowy Orange Cocktail Dress

I recently had a revelation that I barely have any orange in my closet. Actually, before I got this dress, I only had one orange top. It’s kinda crazy, because I love the color orange. I think in the past I’ve veered from the color during fall and winter for fear of looking Halloween-y. I have this weird thing that anytime black and orange are worn together it automatically means I’m channeling October 31st.

While I’m still a little weary of orange that time of year, I am all about it for summer. It’s bold, bright and cheery. This boohoo dress (which is currently on sale) is great because it’s loose and simple, making it easy to recreate many different looks. For today’s outfit, I wanted a glamorous summer style. Have you ever tried layering your necklaces? It’s a great way to glam it up and take advantage of your jewelry collection, without having to buy a statement piece.

Some advice if you do layer your necklaces: make sure your metals match. Today, I’m wearing these crystal necklaces with gold hardware. It’s a perfect match because the gold hardware on both necklaces look exactly alike. I try to avoid mixing silvers and golds, because I like a more streamlined look.
