We’ve officially made it to the first Thursday of 2016! I’m pretending that’s an accomplishment, because let’s face it: the first week of the new year always kind of drags.
Speaking of attempting to accomplish things, I tried to vlog the month of December. I’ve been watching YouTube for years now, and always love getting a glimpse into people’s daily lives. As much as I love watching people’s everyday experiences, I’ve also thought that vlogging is an incredible way to document your life as it happens.
I always think back to when I was younger, and someone in my family was ALWAYS manning a camcorder. I didn’t appreciate it then, but now that I’m older it’s so nice being able to reminisce and look back on those times.
I’m extremely nostalgic (don’t even get me started on how much I miss the 90s), so documenting the day-to-day moments is something I think is priceless.
Now, after that longwinded spiel, I will admit that documenting your life via video can be hard. I’ve been trying to do this for over a year, but end up with choppy little clips of nothingness. It’s also hard to remember to whip out your camera when you’re doing something fun, at least it seems to be that way for me. All of the vlogging I did in December was when I was by myself just doing random things. I’m hoping I’ll make a point of documenting more exciting things this year, and times when I’m out doing fun things. This attempt was pretty much a big mashup of my crazy busy month. I already have a ton of traditional video ideas planned for this year, and I cannot wait to keep creating content for my YouTube channel!
In other news, my weekend will be consumed with NFL football. I don’t talk about it much (except on Twitter), but I am a massive football fan. My beloved Bengals are taking on the Steelers, our most hated rival, and I am praying that we crush them. Sorry if any of you reading this are from Pittsburgh, but there are few things I dislike more than the Pittsburgh Steelers :). Our teams have a disdain for each other that runs deep, and I’ll admit that I’m a little nervous about what the outcome might be. I actually prefer to watch Bengals games at home because I get really into it, and I like to listen to the commentary, too. Yes, I’m that intense. Have a good weekend, everyone!
