How To Wear Over The Knee Boots

Guys, I really wish I would have filmed this monstrosity of a photoshoot. If anything, it would make your day a little brighter. Let’s just say I got a little windblown, and not in a sexy supermodel sort of way, but in an “I didn’t know the wind could give you frostbite and whiplash at the same time” kind of way. I actually winced in pain when I saw some of these in their full-sized beauty on my computer, but I also got a good laugh. FYI, when you’re out of the cold and in a warm place it’s much easier to laugh at your blog outtakes. Since I believe in not taking yourself too seriously, I included a few gems at the end of today’s post. You’re welcome :).

Now, onto the outfit deets. This Banana Republic turtleneck has come in major handy this winter. I don’t own a ton of really thick sweaters, so I usually throw this on for those extra cold days. I love that it’s long and stretchy, which in my world also means forgiving. I warned you in Tuesday’s blog post, but these boots will not be coming off my legs anytime soon. It’s love, and I’m finding ways to pair them with everything I own. I like that you can sport a comfy casual look, but snaz it up with these over-the-knee boots (which also happen to be pretty comfortable).

I’m happy we’re one step closer to the weekend. This week has been really successful work wise, which makes the days go by pretty quickly. That doesn’t mean I still don’t look forward to putting on my sweatpants after work Friday and not changing out of them sometime Saturday. We’re almost there!

Haha – those pictures made me laugh only because I have many that are just as bad or good depending on how you want to look at it 🙂 The wind is awful for shooting because somehow our hair never blows in the direction it should and if you’re unlucky enough to be wearing a skirt at the time, catches your skirt as well as your hair. But I totally agree about BR and their sweaters – I have a few from this season and they are great for the cold. And most of them are cotton, which for me is a must.
