I don’t always go the edgy route, but when I do I feel like a total badass. You’re probably thinking this outfit isn’t even that edgy, but anytime I slip on a leather jacket I feel like I’m taking a walk on the wild side.
I’m kind of bummed that this is only the second time I’ve worn this brown vegan leather jacket this season. Leather jackets can be tough, especially when you experience a cold Midwest winter. They definitely don’t protect you from the elements, and aren’t the warmest either. That’s the main reason why this sat in my closet the past few months. Now that we’re in transitional times though, you better believe I’ll be wearing this as much as possible. I think it’s definitely more practical in fall and right when we’re changing over to spring.
As if I wasn’t feeling wild enough with my *tough* jacket, I accessorized with this embellished choker to complete the look. I actually made this necklace myself (you can watch the tutorial here), and didn’t use any hardware or complicated tools to make it. Sure, you can go the extra mile and add a clasp, but I had no issues with just knotting my excess necklace string.
How incredible is this mural? It’s painted to look like neon lights, and I think it does a good job of appearing that way. ArtsWave, a local arts agency here in Cincinnati, is responsible for the mural and many other awesome ones around the city. I chose this one though for today’s outfit, because how could you pass up a giant mural that says “Lookin’ Good”? Not me!

I LOVE this! The background, the outfit, everything. I love how your choker matches with your leather jacket and the mural is just way too fun. Leather jackets are the best but you’re right, it can be hard to find the perfect weather to wear them. Yay for spring!
