How was everyone’s weekend?! I actually did a lot more than I had initially planned on, but it was much needed. Plus, the weather was too incredible to stay inside and do nothing. This is seriously my favorite time of year. It feels like everyone is so excited to get outdoors and move around.
My mom and I went to the Flower Show on Saturday, per my request.
I had never been, but I’ve seen some amazing pictures over the years and wanted to check it out for myself. I had an epiphany that day that I’ve pretty much reached senior citizen status. The flower show was a ton of fun, but I think I enjoyed the slow pace a little too much. I mentioned to my mom how quiet it was when we first got there. The entire event is outdoors, but I couldn’t believe how silent it was without any music playing. I quickly realized that I wish every event in life was calm and noise-free. I’m not sure that’s normal at age 25, but it’s something I’m totally content with.
I shot these pictures Friday night, which I think was the first true spring night of the season. My mom tagged along with me to tie up some last-minute real estate business, and then we were going to grab dinner. In true blogger fashion, I had to get a picture of my outfit before we made any commitments. This turned into quite the fiasco, as I just wasn’t feeling any location to take pictures. For one reason or another, nothing was working in our favor. As the sun was setting, we wound up near the International Friendship Park and it all worked out. I’ve shot a few looks here, and I’m always a sucker for this multi-colored setup.
70s vibes look
I inadvertently ended up channeling my inner 70s girl here. I’ve been itching to wear my off the shoulder clothes, and thought this was the perfect opportunity to do so. I actually got this top at LOFT last year, and it’s probably the most versatile warm-weather top I own. These pants are Gap from high school, and I’m so glad I held onto them. I wasn’t into the boot cut look after high school, but they’re a nice change from what I usually wear.
What I love most about this look is the gold jewelry. I borrowed this lariat from my mom, and will likely be borrowing it a lot more. It’s so delicate, and I could wear it every day if I had the option.
I’ve had these Kendra Scott earrings less than a week and have already worn them multiple times. I’ve never really been a hoops girl (does anyone else think of Mean Girls when they think of hoop earrings?), but I had to make an exception for these. I mean, they have charms on them! I love unique details like that. They’re fun, and perfectly complete this 70s vibes look.

Thank you, Lauren!! Yes, I can’t get enough off the shoulder!
Super cute throwback look! I love off-the-shoulder tops and dresses and am excited that the weather is warming up for them! Also, your necklace is adorable. Maybe you can conveniently keep it like your mom’s jacket 😉
