I’ve always loved a well-executed color-blocked look, but if I had to pick my favorite color pairing it would easily be pink and red. A pink and red outfit just does something to my fashion loving heart, and I don’t think it’s just reserved for Valentine’s Day.
Every year since I started my blog I told myself I wanted to style a pink and red outfit, and each year I fail to do so. I decided this year would be different though, and it doesn’t hurt that I have an extra reason to reach for the pink and red during this month of love. You’ve probably seen me share this on Instagram, but I am thrilled to be hosting a Galentine’s Day event with Kate Spade New York this weekend! You can see all the details below. If you live in Cincinnati, I’d love to see you there! The event is open to anyone, so bring friends!
Whether you celebrate Galentine’s Day (I seriously love saying that phrase) or Valentine’s Day, I think we can all agree that it’s fun to incorporate some pink or red into your holiday outfit. I obviously went to town with my festive pink and red outfit, but I love it! I spotted this Kate Spade heart print neck scarf online back in January and could not stop thinking about it. I don’t really own skinny delicate scarves but I knew I needed this. The ombre heart pattern was too adorable and I loved that it was reversible (the back side has pink and red stripes).
The scarf was the perfect piece to help pair the pink and red together, so I opted for this hot pink coat and a red beret. I could easily wear this outfit every single day. Also, I was a little too excited about how perfectly this pink building complemented the outfit. There needs to be more pink buildings in the world. I kept my other accessories at a minimum but could not resist this vintage heart brooch that belonged to my grandma.
