Greetings from sunny Florida! My mom and I are down here for the week and it’s been incredible getting some sun and relaxation. I cannot express enough how warm weather can totally shift my mood. I feel like a different person down here! This winter has been a cold one in the Midwest, so getting to escape to 80-degree weather is a treat.
I haven’t done a winter beach trip in a few years, so I was struggling with what I should pack for the week. I went with some colorful pieces and some staple black and white options to pair with them. Actually, I only packed one dress, so it’s been a week full of separates, which I love.
On this particular night, my mom and I headed to the Fifth Avenue South area of Naples.
We’ve visited Naples many times over the years, and Fifth Avenue is by far my favorite part. If you’ve never been I highly recommend you plan a trip! It’s such a charming, well-maintained area and you could spend all day checking out all the boutiques and restaurants along the strip. In terms of lodging on Fifth, we’ve stayed at both The Inn on Fifth and The Escalante and you can’t go wrong with either!
As you can see from the pictures, all of Fifth lights up at night, and it’s absolutely breathtaking. For my outfit, I went with tailored black shorts, a black sleeveless top, and denim jacket. To finish the look, I wore gold metallic sandals, mirrored sunglasses and this amazing Milly box clutch that I can’t get enough of!
My mom knows what a fan I am of colorful stripes, so I was ecstatic when I opened this Milly box clutch on Christmas morning. It’s a hard clutch with rainbow stripes and I finally got to take it for a spin on this trip. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I was able to fit in it! Unfortunately, I can’t find this particular clutch anywhere online, but I rounded up a ton of fun clutches I’m loving!

We went to dinner at Sails, a new restaurant that I believe just opened last week. The space is absolutely gorgeous and confidently chic without being too flashy. You could tell the decor was very thought out and well executed, which we always appreciate. Everything we ordered tasted incredible. My mom loved her dishes and while I kept my meal on the light side and only ordered the potato puree, it was one of the greatest things I’ve ever tasted. Probably, I should have ordered two of the puree, and now it’s all I can think about. I felt like the food critic in Ratatouille who takes a bite of his food and flashes back to his childhood. I like to consider myself a potato connoisseur and these were life-changing!

That bag is a classic and also I love bags that are a little snobby in that you know what brand it is if you *know*. Which that doesn’t make sense when I type it out, but I call it subtly being in the *know.*
