Oh, polka dots. One of my favorite prints out there yet a print I don’t have much of in my closet. Sure, I have a great selection of long sleeve polka dot shirts, but for some reason, it just doesn’t feel like enough. My appreciation for spots has grown over the years, and I love that they add a whimsical element to your look.
Because this dress is so thin and tiny, it tends to always get lost in my closet. I try (emphasis on try) to keep my closet color-coordinated, and the black dress section is pretty large. Even though I have all the same hangers in my closet this dress always gets hidden for some reason. Since summer is almost over I was thrilled that I came across it before time ran out!
I purchased it last summer in LA from And Other Stories. I actually went on a bit of a polka dot bender while shopping there because the selection was impeccable. This polka dot dress is lightweight and perfect for a night out on the town. Also, I love that the spots are on the large side because they stand out better and make the outfit more fun in my opinion.
I wanted to keep the fun theme going with my accessories. I paired the polka dot dress with gold strappy sandals and my favorite rainbow striped Milly clutch.
Joe and I had an extremely relaxing weekend and it was very much needed!
On Friday we visited Peppe Cucina in Covington and it was adorable. It’s like a New York deli and while I had already eaten, Joe loved his entire meal. After that, we walked around the neighborhood and visited Crema, a chic and elegant dessert shop in Covington. The rest of the time we spent hanging out and it was great. Many episodes of The Office were consumed, which is always a sign of a good weekend.
