It feels like ages have gone by since I last posted on my blog. Life has been pretty crazy lately, so I’ve had to put blogging on the back burner for awhile. I’m hoping by next week things will be back to normal and the stress of the holidays will be over. As I had previously mentioned, I celebrated the New Year in Chicago and had an amazing time! My mom’s vintage Carmen Marc Valvo dress was perfect for the occasion, and the velvet belt I paired with it was the perfect touch. I was only able to snap a few photos on my iPhone, so it’s hard to get the full effect of my dress. I felt great though, and loved that I didn’t have to worry about someone else having the same outfit on! The only downer of the evening was when I got back to my hotel and realized my favorite suede pumps were completely ruined. Large crowds, spilled drinks, and cute shoes do not mix well.
So sorry about your shoes! Maybe you can still rescue them with cleaning? Nice dress, though!
Thank you! I’ve convinced myself it’s a good excuse to get a new pair of shoes 🙂
Such a perfect dress for NYE!! Clearly your mom has fabulous taste! I’m sorry to hear about your shoes, that’s so sad! The worst shoe disaster I’ve had was breaking the heel off of my favorite boots, but thankfully the cobbler was able to reattach it! At least you have an excuse to buy a new pair 😉

Thank you!! I think I would have a panic attack if my heel broke on one of my shoes! Luckily you got it fixed! Mine might be making a trip to the shoe repair store as well.

Thanks, Cammie!
That dress is gorgeous! I love anything with sequins 🙂
Thanks, Alexandra!! We’re on the same page when it comes to sequins.
