Anchors Away

Although the Fourth of July has come and gone, I’m still feeling very patriotic! While red, white, and blue symbolizes our independence, I also think it screams summer. This color trifecta always creates a classic, polished look no matter what the occasion. I got this J.Crew anchor blouse last summer, and it continues to be one of my favorite dressy summer tops. Of course, I cannot pass up any opportunity to incoporate white bottoms! White jeans/shorts are one of my all-time favorite things about summer.

Since I had my white and blue, it was time to finish my look with some hints of red. I’ve been obsessed with red lips and red nail polish lately, so it was a no-brainer with this festive look!

*As I was typing this, I realized my entire outfit (minus the shoes and watch) is from J.Crew. Other than being a walking advertisement for J.Crew, I think that is a testament to how classic their clothes are!

Thank you! That happens to me all the time. I end up not buying something, then someone styles it amazingly and I regret not getting it! Checking your blog out now 🙂

That’s so funny you said that! I do read her blog, and surprisingly, you aren’t the first one who’s told me that! I definitely see a slight resemblance. Checking your blog out right now!

Love your top! It reminds me of my anchor pants which I absolutely love. There’s something so fun and carefree about anchors – one of my favorite prints 🙂
