Pink Lady

How To Wear Black Turtleneck

Today’s pictures look a bit different, thanks to the massive snowstorm we got over the weekend! I got to enjoy a snow day on Friday, which resulted in me not leaving my bed the entire day (except to eat). Literally, I laid in my bed watching tv with my Thymes Frasier Fir candle lit and watching the massive amounts of snow come down. College snow days consisted of day drinking (Natty Light, anyone?), but I must say “adult” snow days are a lot more fun and relaxing! Next snow day, I’ll be sure to swap the cheap beer for a glass of bubbly.

How to Wear A Pink Blazer

Gap Jeans Pink Blazer

I got these jeans at Gap yesterday (did anyone take advantage of their GapCash?), and could not be more in love with them. The only pair of distressed jeans I’ve ever owned were from Abercrombie and they were flared. I was in love with them, and held on to them until a few years ago. I try to avoid getting rid of clothes in case they ever become relevant down the road. One day, I came to the realization that overly distressed flared jeans from Abercrombie probably aren’t going to be cool again. I really like the cut and fit of these Gap jeans. They aren’t overly distressed, and actually feel a bit slimming when you put them on! I mainly got these because I have plenty of dark wash jeans, and thought this would be a nice change.

PS- remember my bauble wish list post from Friday? It was all about emerald. Well, St. Nick came Thursday night and brought me a pair of emerald earrings! I’ll be sure to wear them in an upcoming post.

Okay, so I have to ask: are your feet freezing in this outfit? I was reading a blog post over at You Look Fab and Angie was talking about seasonally confused outfits (warm on top, breezy below and vice versa) and there was a collective agreement that only fashion ads and bloggers do this. The rest of the world find it impractical. I live in SoCal, though, and I sport seasonally confused outfits all the time but I felt like the minority so I didn’t say a word. :/

You look fab in this ensemble, btw.

Since I was only outside for a few minutes, it wasn’t cold! Even though there’s snow I still wear heels, and so do a lot of people here since we’re only outside for a few minutes during the day.

Oh, the number of things I’ve held onto in the hope that they’d be relevant again! And there’s nothing like the realisation that they probably never will be. Love your new jeans, though – they look great!

Haha I know, right!? I gave away a ton of turtlenecks last year after holding onto them since high school, and of course, now I’m wishing I still had them! Thank you, the jeans are so comfy, and definitely don’t make me miss the old pair.

Yay for the earrings! Looking forward to seeing them! And I love those jeans – they are incredibly flattering on you. I sat inside most of the my snow day too. It was amazing 🙂

Um, you guys had a major snow day there!! I love the vibrancy of the pink blazer, such a great pop color to combat winter blues! We only got a light dusting, but I’m kinda wishing it had stuck because it makes it feel so much more like Christmas!

Yes, MAJOR is the perfect word! It was insane. Hopefully you guys get a good snow in before Christmas! I loved it when it first started snowing, but now that it’s been sitting here a week I’m over it!
