I can’t put into words the excitement I feel when May arrives. First, it’s my birthday month, which obviously makes it rank number one on my list of favorite months. Two, it has the most perfect weather of the year. It was in the high 70s all weekend, which made for perfect spring dressing. The outfit options are endless. Lastly, it’s just plain awesome. Everything is blooming, people are happy and it seems like there’s just so much possibility.
I might be a little early, but I’ve been pretty eager to pull out all of the white in my closet. My skin may be translucent right now, but it’s okay. I thought this all-white outfit would be perfect for showing off this Bené infinity scarf. Pink is a hard color for me to resist, especially this time of year!
I’m a big believer in brands with a positive mission, which is why I’m excited to share Bené with you today. Bené is a gorgeous line of scarves, which helps provide an education for girls living in Ghana. Founded in 2013 by Sasha Matthews and Michelle Blue, Bené came about after Michelle studied abroad in Ghana. She was inspired by the girls she met there, and teamed up with Sasha to help give back to these girls who had big spirits, but very little financially. Each purchase of a Bené scarf helps a girl in Ghana with tuition, school supplies and uniforms. Pretty amazing, right?!
Today I’m wearing the Munira infinity scarf, but there are a ton of great patterns and colors to choose from. In addition to classic scarves, they also have caftans, kimonos and skinny scarves available. I love that this is a quick way to add some color to a neutral-heavy outfit.
The girls at Bené were kind enough to offer Baubles to Bubbles readers a code for 15% off your purchase this week. Just use the code “BtoB” at checkout. I think we can all agree that shopping is fun, but shopping for a cause? Even better!
Also, the girls of Thread Cincinnati will be hosting a happy hour at Sundry and Vice Thursday, and it would be awesome to see any Cincinnatians reading this to come out! The happy hour runs from 6:30-9:00, and you can get craft cocktails and goodies from Brown Bear Bakery! More info here.
And also, because I’m cheesy, May the Fourth be with you!
