I’ve been quite MIA the past week, and for good reason. My job has been taking up lots and lots of my time. Real estate is in it’s busy season right now, and let me tell you, I am busy. It’s a good problem, but I am so hard on myself when I’m too tired to schedule a blog post. Another reason I kind of slacked on the Internet? I turned 25 on Friday!
I had all these plans to document my celebrations, but ended up not following through on it. It’s kind of nice to just unplug sometimes and live in the moment, especially when it’s your birthday. I haven’t had the most fun birthday celebrations the last few years, but this one made up for all of that. On Thursday, I went to Nada with my boyfriend for a pre-birthday dinner. We eat there all the time, so we thought it would be nice to stick to something we love. On Friday, my dad (who is also my co-worker) spent the morning decorating my desk with balloons, streamers and some of my favorite goodies (aka champagne ;)). We had a nice pizza party with all of my co-workers, which was great.
During the nighttime, I reserved an area at Top of the Park, my favorite place in the city! I had all of my friends there, and I couldn’t have asked for better weather, company or views. I wanted to take a picture of my outfit, but totally forgot. I’m sure I’ll share it on here sometime soon, because I’m obsessed with it. It was a great weekend, and although I’m sad that it’s over, I’m happy to have a fresh start to the week.
I think one of the best parts of spring fashion is all the opportunities to colorblock. Spring fashion is more fun in my opinion, so why not play around with different color combinations? I love the pairing of green and pink, and think it makes for a fun, yet feminine look. These Banana Republic sunglasses were a spur of the moment purchase last week, and I have yet to take them off my head. I think they’re a fun alternative to my traditional black sunglasses that I usually sport.
I’ve mentioned before how boring I usually am with my hair. To me, wearing a ponytail is “switching it up”, and I thought it was fitting for the theme of this outfit. My hair is getting so long, and I’m contemplating cutting it but keep going back and forth. What do you think?

Thank you!
Happy Birthday!! It sounds like you had an amazing time! I am loving this outfit – every shade is so pretty and spring-y! As for cutting your hair, it’s always my dilemma as well. I always end up getting it cut, though (especially for summer 🙂 ). But I think it looks great long so you can’t go wrong either way!
Thanks Grace!!
Love this!!
