I shot these pictures with the talented and all around awesome Tiernae Salley. We took these back in the fall, when everything was still green and pretty. It’s a nice reminder of how much prettier everything is when it’s not the dead of winter. I’m using these pictures as motivation that warmer weather is only a few “short” months away.
This shoot was the first time I got to break in my Trolley booties from Nordstrom. As much as I love shoes, I wouldn’t say I have a crazy big shoe collection. Yes, I have a lot of shoes, but I’d argue I have one pair in every style a girl might find herself needing. For example, I have one pair of black pumps I wear on the reg. They are my Vine Camuto Mary-Jane’s that I wear in virtually every blog post. I have one pair of knee high boots. I fluctuate between two different pairs of Tory Burch flats that I have almost worn into the ground. So basically, if I’m in the mood to wear a pump, I pretty much only have my black pair to fall back on. I don’t have much of a variety when it comes to my shoe collection, but rather one option fits all.
I’m hard on shoes, and somewhat picky. It’s taken me over a year to find the perfect pair of booties to add to my limited bootie collection. I’ve heard everyone rave about these, but didn’t really consider them for myself until I made friends with a super nice sales associate at Nordstrom. I told her all my bootie requirements (simple design, cut around the ankle, decent sized heel), and she led me to these. I can now attest to the magic. These are the perfect pair of booties if you’re looking for a classic shoe with no frills. I hate a lot of hardware and fuss on shoes, and always prefer a clean cut design. Plus, these are insanely comfortable and don’t cut you off at the ankle!
Is anyone else struggling with this frigid weather? I thought we might be able to avoid it this season, but that bitter cold that makes your entire existence go numb is officially here. This should get interesting for taking outfit pictures. I think I just found an excuse to jet off to Florida for a few days…

I love these photos – natural scenery makes such beautiful backgrounds. So glad you found a perfect pair of booties. I have a pair of Dolce Vita and I love mine. Ankle boots (with chunky heels of course!) make life easy – they’re so comfortable and easy to wear!
Thanks Grace! Yes, finding booties was hard but I’m so happy they’re comfy!
