Week In Review

Another cold week for the books. I’m glad we made it to Friday, and am hoping this bout of snow we’re supposed to get will distract me from the bitter temperatures. I’ve been pretty good this week about staying on a good workout regimen, but I can slowly feel the winter laziness creeping in. It also doesn’t help that when I was at the gym Wednesday night, I noticed that the sauna wasn’t working. I’m a rare breed in that I like to warm up before I even start my workout because of my constant freezing state. I power-walked to the sauna with a pep in my step, only to see that the knob for the timber was cracked in half. I walked into the sauna and it was completely mild, and I didn’t know what to do with myself. It took me a minute to regain my thoughts because I was so bummed. Who, and most importantly how does one break a knob like that? I texted my mom (a fellow sauna loyalist) to let off some steam and worked up a sweat the old fashioned way.

I was pretty bad about posting this week, and my lack of ability to take pictures in this weather didn’t help. I did however post a new video last night! Sure, January’s pretty much over, but I wanted to share my 2015 favorites. There’s some beauty, jewelry and fashion picks in there, and it got a little chatty. I had to cut out like 10 minutes worth of me blabbering. You would think my camera was a friend I haven’t seen in years.

If you’re confined to the indoors because of this nasty weather, why not make a drink to warm you up? This spiked vanilla cinnamon hot chocolate recipe packs a flavorful punch, and you can spike it with Bailey’s for an extra kick to get the weekend going.

I read an interesting article on Huffpost Style arguing the pros of wearing lip liner. I’ll admit, I’ve never once worn lip liner in my life. I’ve contemplated it multiple times over the years, but feel like such a novice when it comes to using it. These 12 tidbits have me thinking I need to give it a shot! Do you wear lip liner? Is it easier to apply than it looks?!

Have a good weekend, and stay warm!

Thanks to the girls at BRIDEface, I use lipliner! During a FACEing class, they shared their go-to liner that looks good on anyone. The best part…you can buy it at Walgreen’s for $2. I’ll have to show it to you next time we’re together.

Have a wonderful (and warm) winter weekend!

First, I know how much of a bummer it is when your expectations and hopes are dashed. Hopefully the sauna is fixed the next time you’re in. Working out is such a struggle. I go weeks (embarrassing, I know) without going and then I’ll be good for a few weeks straight. I need more consistency in my life! And as far as lip liner goes… I actually wear it a lot. I have a lip pencil that I’ve had for ages (probably should throw it out and get a new one) so it’s easy for me to grab it and apply. Glad to know that I’m actually doing something right as far as makeup goes haha.
