Happy Monday, everyone! I was actual social over the weekend, and it was a nice change. Elise and I grabbed some dinner at Pontiac (it was amazing) and made trips to some OTR bars that I was long overdue to experience. The wait at Pontiac was over an hour, so we walked to Low Spark, a bar I’ve been wanting to visit since it opened. The decor was retro and fabulous, complete with a massive fish tank in the center of the bar. I loved it.
Pontiac was equally impressive. I’ve heard great things and have been wanting to try it, despite the fact that I don’t actually eat meat (it’s a barbecue restaurant). I ordered some mac and cheese and crinkle cut fries, and both were insane. Those two foods could be consumed by me on a daily basis and I’d be a happy girl. We finished the night at Wiseguy Lounge, where the latest Justin Timberlake masterpiece was playing on repeat. I imagine this is what heaven is like. Long story short, it was a fun and much-needed night out!
Today’s look is what feminine retro dreams are made of.
Boohoo kindly encouraged me to feel like a princess for a day and allowed me to pick a dress from their large occasionwear selection. I immediately chose this Boohoo off the shoulder organza dress. It just spoke to me.
Now that spring is in full bloom, I have a ton of formal events filling up on my calendar. It’s my favorite time of year, so getting dressed up is always fun for me. For me, getting all dolled up is when I feel most confident. Wearing a fancy dress just does something to me that I can’t explain. It feels magical and exciting.
I really love this blue floral dress because it’s so different from anything that I own. This feels straight out of Mad Men to me, which I love. The organza layer adds a formal touch, and these bold blue flowers really stand out. So this was definitely a dress made for twirling. Full disclosure: I did in fact try to twirl while taking these pictures, but I looked more like a robot spinning around in place. Not cute. But just trust that it is twirl worthy!

That dress is adorable! Great look, Olivia <3
Hi Olivia, I am a former Cincinnatian and a jewelry designer. Love your blog. I was wondering if you think this necklace I just made would be too much for that gorgeous dress? Also I have a line of hand blown glass bubble necklaces. Just saying! Carol BlingBeadedBaubles.Zibbet.com
