Bow blouse, we meet again.
You know I have a soft spot in my heart for a good bow, and if there’s a chance to add one to my outfit you better believe I’m going to take it.
Between life being so hectic lately and this hot and cold weather (literally), I haven’t had as much time to thoughtfully plan out my outfits. That’s why I love having a classic and structured white blouse in my closet. It’s like a fashion blank canvas, and the styling possibilities are always endless.
What I love about this Banana Republic bow blouse is that the bow is removable (although I probably keep the bow on 90% of the time). While I would love for life to call for a bow all the time, it’s nice having that option to transition it into a simple white button down.
As I mentioned earlier this month, Joe and I just took a trip to Seattle. It was so nice to get out of Cincinnati for four days, but I cannot believe our bad luck. The midwest experienced a freak warm spell the entire time we were gone! While I knew from experience that Seattle would be overcast and rainy, the rain always sounds a lot more cozy and enjoyable than it is once you’re actually in it. I packed all my camera gear with the best intentions of taking lots of pictures during our trip. Joe and I even brought it out with us when we went exploring, but it was so rainy that all you wanted to do was get to and from places as quickly as possible!
While I don’t have many pictures (other than from my iPhone), we still got to do a ton of great Seattle-esque things. Visiting Chihuly Garden and Glass was at the top of my list, and we checked it out the last day of our trip. It was incredible, and Dale Chihuly’s glass creations are jaw-dropping works of art! Joe and I were both in awe the entire time we walked through the museum. Of course, we also made a stop at Pike Place Market and walked along the waterfront. I hadn’t been to Pike Place since I was little, so it was a surreal feeling to be there as an adult. When you’re little, everything feels so big and overwhelming! We also took a ride on the Seattle Great Wheel, which was pretty cool. The gondolas are closed in, so you’re not experiencing the elements (thankfully), and you get incredible views of the Puget Sound and Seattle’s skyline.
Luckily my next planned trip is to Jacksonville in May, so the weather *should* be a complete 180! I’m ready for warm weather after all…
