I’ve become a devotee of one piece swimsuits in recent years. Also, my loyalty is showing no signs of slowing down.
This J.Crew one-piece swimsuit was actually something I purchased way back in March and have been eager to wear ever since. This cobalt color was calling my name. I knew it would be the perfect summer shade. I love that this feels more like a sporty swimsuit, but the plunging scoop back adds a more dramatic element.
The reviews were also very glowing. Does anyone else majorly appreciate when you find clothes online that already have reviews written about them? I feel like I’ve become so reliant on them. Usually, I can count on J.Crew items having reviews that paint an appropriate picture of how something fits.
I had to refrain from ordering more of this same swimsuit in different colors. (I was this close to getting the orange and am bummed I didn’t). If I had to settle on just one though I am happy I went with this one.
Why I Love A One Piece Swimsuit
Let’s be honest, one pieces are so much more comfortable than bikinis. For years I would wear bikinis and just not feel super comfortable in certain situations. Like I mentioned in this post last week, I have a large chest which makes me very conscious of what kind of tops I wear. While I still buy bikinis, the majority of swimsuits I’ve bought in recent years have been one pieces. I feel like they hold everything in better and it’s one less thing I have to worry about when I’m at the pool or beach.
Equally important to the comfort and security of a one-piece swimsuit is the fact that they are currently way cuter than bikinis. I don’t know about you but I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of beautifully designed one-piece suits these past few summers. The colors, the prints, the silhouettes. There are so many good options to choose from! I’ve had to stop myself from buying too many one pieces this summer because I was getting so excited over all of them.
