Recently, my friend Michelle from Hey Michelle and I ventured to the Vineyard Vines store at Kenwood Towne Centre to peruse the store and have a try-on session to get inspired for the Kentucky Derby.

Did you know that Vineyard Vines is the official style of the Kentucky Derby? I don’t think there’s a more perfect fit to represent the derby than the stylings of Vineyard Vines. From their fun colors to their preppy, polished silhouettes the brand has everything you need when getting derby ready.
The eyelet lace dress I’m wearing in the above picture fit like a dream! Now that I’m engaged I’m always on the hunt for a chic white dress. This lace dress is easy to throw on and plan your entire look around this versatile canvas.
While we tried on mostly derby styles, we also had fun styling pieces perfect for spring and summer. I know I sound like a broken record but this is my absolute favorite time of year and seeing the cheerful clothes at Vineyard Vines only made me more excited to dress for the season!
As someone who is always cold, I was immediately drawn to this Shep Shirt. I don’t have any pieces for this time of year that I can throw on at night to stay warm and loved that this white option can go with anything I’ll be wearing. I ended up getting this entire outfit because I know this pullover and the pink shorts will both get a lot of play in the coming months.

Kentucky Derby Inspiration
Michelle and I needed some male counterparts to help complement our feminine looks, and two friendly guys who happened to be shopping at the store were nice enough to model some looks with us!
I fell in love with this seersucker sleeveless shirt dress. Vineyard Vines also has a cute selection of fascinators to finish your derby look! I love pink and blue together and think this pairing would be perfect for any festive celebrations.

The final look we styled was another option that would be great for the Kentucky Derby! This blue lace dress is feminine and elegant and I like that it allows you to play around with different colors and accessories. Pink, green, and orange would all make for great colors to color block with this blue dress!
If you don’t want to go bold with color, keep it simple. I wore this dress with classic nude pumps and pearl earrings to keep it timeless yet polished.

All of these outfits are great! You look beautiful as always!
