Bar and restaurant openings in Cincinnati have always excited me and I knew the second I walked into the city’s newest hotspot I would be in heaven.
HomeMakers Bar in Over-the-Rhine is what my color-loving dreams are made of. This gorgeous new space on 13th Street is open, airy and filled with every color imaginable that will make you smile while instantly transporting you to a retro paradise.

I think you’re getting an idea of what a magical spot this is, right?! I mean, look at this color palette! The space itself is roomy and so inviting the second you walk in. You don’t even know where to focus your attention on first because it’s all so eye-catching. I love the retro theme throughout the space.
The cocktails are fun and inventive.
They are named after ads from the 1950s! Everything on the menu sounded refreshing, especially during these hot summer days.
I know I’ve mentioned the space a few times already but I really love how it’s laid out. There are separate rooms, but they aren’t closed off. It has a nice flow to it. There’s also a private room and bar in the back, which is genius! I love the idea of being able to reserve a private space.
I’m kicking myself for not getting a picture of the bathroom. It had green walls and black and white tile, officially making it the bathroom of my dreams!

HomeMakers Bar will also serve light bites, like this fun charcuterie board!
This serving tray instantly transports me back to grade school, but this version is much prettier!

Owners Catherine Manabat and Julia Petiprin have done an excellent job with HomeMakers Bar. I posted Instagram Stories from the event, and based on the amount of people I had message me asking about this Instagram-worthy new spot in Cincinnati I know it’s going to be a popular destination!

Looks so neat!
